The first time that Donald Trump tried to ban transgender soldiers from serving in the military, it was a muddled mess — he based the entire effort on the lie that he had spoken with “his generals,” all of whom seemed pretty surprised by the announcement.
But he was prevented from implementing it by the courts — like he is with everything he tries to do on a whim like that — and he had to sulk back to his room in the White House and listen to Fox News praise him for a week straight before he got over being told he couldn’t just do whatever he wanted as president.
In fact, the whole affair sort of overshadowed the fact that Trump has made many, many proclamations about the LGBTQ+ community before. But unlike his unpatriotic and unconstitutional transgender ban, he used to at least pretend to support them.
Now an old tweet is coming back to haunt the mercurial president, because, as everyone has seen by now, “there’s a tweet for everything.” But which tweet one is it this time? Is it the one he forgot to delete that proved he was in Russia three months before he said he was?
Re Miss Universe Pageant, we’ve spoken w/the LGBT community in Russia who asked “please don’t leave, it would send the wrong signal.”

No, not that one.
It was this, that he also forgot to delete — or maybe he just doesn’t give a shit that he looks like such a hypocrite:
Thank you to the LGBT community! I will fight for you while Hillary brings in more people that will threaten your freedoms and beliefs.

Uhhh… with the news that you’re now going ahead with the transgender ban after all, in defiance of all logic and reason and compassion, doesn’t it seem like you should go ahead and have one of your many underlings comb through your old Twitter feed and find this stuff?
But finding out that Trump lied about something inspires nothing but the best sarcasm from the internet:
He lied??!!?? pic.twitter.com/PBoQZh3KM4

Thanks again for reminding us what a dumpster fire of a person you are, Donnie.
