Recently, in an unprecedented move that shocked the world and is causing extensive unrest in the Middle East, our so-called ‘President’ proclaimed that the U.S. would now recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and would be moving our embassy there.
Naturally, this move was condemned by our allies at the U.N., who on Thursday voted against Trump’s irresponsible actions. Before the vote, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley threatened that the U.S. will be “taking names” of the countries who voted against Trump’s decision.
Trump himself then threatened to cut funding to the U.N. substantially, stating:
Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care.”
On Christmas Eve, Trump followed through with his threat, cutting funding to the U.N. by 25 percent – about $285 million.
Haley made the announcement on Sunday, but didn’t reference the U.N. vote on Trump’s Jerusalem announcement, instead blaming irresponsible spending as the reason:
The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked. This historic reduction of spending, in addition to many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable U.N., is a big step in the right direction.”
While she SAID that, we’d like to remind you of her exact words before the vote. It seems she left this little part out:

This initial cut in funds alone is mind-blowing, but Haley added that further cuts may be coming – specifically to essential programs like UNICEF, which they plan to cut by 16 percent, and they plan to completely END funding for U.N. climate change programs which no doubt will be detrimental in countless ways.
Trump needs to stop letting his ego get in the way and start doing what’s best for the United States. Pissing off the entire world is not the way to govern.
