Donald Trump spent all morning attacking former FBI Director James Comey, as the ex-FBI chief’s new book, “A Higher Loyalty”, is already gaining tons of media attention and his upcoming tell-all interviews threaten to expose Trump.
After being called a “slimeball”, told he should be sent to jail, and enduring accusations of lies by the President of the United States this morning, Comey hit back a little bit later with a response that will hopefully shut Trump up for good. The former FBI Director suggested that Trump was the farthest thing from “ethical leadership” – which is something the majority of Americans will agree on. Comey tweeted:
My book is about ethical leadership and draws on stories from my life and lessons I learned from others. Three presidents are in my book: Two help illustrate the values at the heart of ethical leadership; one serves as a counterpoint. I hope folks read the whole thing and find it useful.”
Comey may have not called Trump out by name, but we all know who he was talking about. Trump’s lack of ethics and his inability to perform his presidential duties are widely known and have been well-documented over the last year or so.
Trump is clearly nervous about what Comey’s book contains, especially since recent polls have stated that Americans find Comey to be more trustworthy than Trump. Trump knows he’s fighting a losing battle, but his complete and utter lack of intelligence and reasoning will only allow him to make things worse for himself. When Comey’s book comes out on April 17th, it’s going to be a sh*tshow for Trump, who is already struggling with his Russia investigation and Stormy Daniels sex scandal. It doesn’t look like the president can take much more, and his meltdown and outbursts are proving it.
