The current occupant of the White House really wanted to be awarded the coveted Time’s Person of the Year accolade but that didn’t happen. Instead, it went to women who were victimized by powerful men. Donald Trump didn’t win but he is mentioned in Time magazine’s article a total of 8 times, but only as a sexual predator — and one of his accusers is featured in the article. The “vulgar” Access Hollywood tape is mentioned, noting that Trump “didn’t just say that he’d made a pass; he ‘moved on her like a bitch.'” He didn’t just talk about fondling women; he bragged that he could “grab ’em by the pussy.”
Because Trump was still elected even after the tape surfaced, the magazine notes that it “stoked the rage that fueled the Women’s March.”
“All social movements have highly visible precipitating factors,” says Aldon Morris, a professor of sociology at Northwestern University. “In this case, you had Harvey Weinstein, and before that you had Trump.”
In 2015, Trump said Megyn Kelly, who posed questions during a debate, was ‘bleeding out of her whatever” but the former Fox host is used to abusive behavior from men. “I have real doubts about whether we’d be going through this if Hillary Clinton had won because I think that President Trump’s election in many ways was a setback for women,” Kelly told Time, who then noted that not all of the women at the march were Clinton supporters. “But the overall message to us was that we don’t really matter.”
The magazine mentions that the Women’s March was “one of the largest in U.S. history and spawned satellite marches in all 50 states and more than 50 other countries.”
One of Trump’s accusers was featured in the article:
Summer Zervos, a former contestant on The Apprentice, was one of roughly 20 women to accuse the President of sexual harassment. She filed a defamation suit against Trump days before his Inauguration after he disputed her claims by calling her a liar. A New York judge is expected to decide soon if the President is immune to civil suits while in office. No matter the outcome, the allegations added fuel to a growing fire.”

Bill O’Reilly was smacked around in the article, the very man that Donald Trump defended after he was accused of sexual harassment. Trump was the runner-up in the magazine’s award but it’s not a very flattering profile.
The magazine notes Trump’s “feuds” and “wild accusations” as well as his “crude and divisive language—no other Commander in Chief has broadcast his outbursts in such an unfiltered torrent.”
“The daily flow of conflict can be numbing,” the magazine writes. It notes Trump lashing out at critics, his scandals, and how the former reality show star provokes others just to keep himself at the center of attention.
Trump last month: They wanted to award me with the Time Person of the Year honor.
Time Magazine today: LOL.
